Usarbi is the name of a pintxo with which chef Jon Ibarreche was a finalist in the 10th Basque Country Championship in 2015. Usarbi refers to one of the chef’s best friends, who supplied the main ingredient for the pintxo, pigeon.
Product, seasonality, flavor, tradition, environment, and closeness were the key pillars in the creation of the pintxo, and we wanted them to be the same for the creation of our project. That’s why we decided to name it the same way.
Usarbi is located very close to the heart of Donosti-San Sebastián, in the Atotxa area, where the old stadium of Real Sociedad once stood. We are in Egia, an emerging neighborhood with cultural charisma, local people, and very near the city center. This is how we identify ourselves: looking toward the future without forgetting our roots.
Teamwork is a fundamental pillar at Usarbi. Everything we do, we do as a team to improve performance and offer higher quality to our diners.
Sitting at a table and eating in good company means sharing, talking, and enjoying the moment. This is how we want to shape our concept: a shared platter in the center of the table, just like at home, unpretentious and with a focus on quality Basque cuisine.
Our menu is based on the perfect combination of local products and seasonal cuisine.
